Exchange programmes
What is it?
An exchange programme is a three- to six-month study, which allows you to do a part of your study or internship (or trainingship?) abroad. You will not graduate with a HELMo degree.
Languages for the courses or languages in the study programmes?
French.
A 30 ECTS programme is offered in English in the Business and Law department only during the Autumn Semester (From September till December).

Dual degree or double degree
What is it?
According to the agreement signed between HELMo and some of its partners, it is a one-year exchange programme allowing students from these institutions to study at HELMo and receive HELMo’s diploma too.
These double/dual degree agreements are mainly signed for partnerships in the Business and Law department.

What is it?
- a short-term physical exchange combined with a compulsory virtual conponent
Language for the courses ?
- Either French and English -(depending on the department)

- minimum 5 days mobility
What is it?
- Exchange for students following courses at HELMo during a short period
Language for the courses ?
- Mostly French and English for the Business department
Duration ?
- Period to determined with the departmental coordinator of the concerned study programme
Education department (HELMo Sainte-croix)
It is a good way to meet students and teachers from different European institutions, to exchange, meet other cultures, live or think!

1) French course
You can attend an intensive course in French at the “Institut des langues vivantes de l'université de Liège” (ISLV). It is free of charge if the course in French is included in your Learning Agreement. Further information can be found here.
2) Belgian culture and heritage
A course called Belgian Culture and Heritage will be proposed to incoming students for 2 ECTS credits. Students will be evaluated on their participation in all activities.
The students who don’t want to include it in their learning agreement are welcome to take part in the activities if they want to (contact Manon Habay m.habay@helmo.be ).
