Activité d’apprentissage

Les finalités de l'UE

Understanding how to market services is an essential professional skill. Services represent over 70% of economic activity in Belgium, and most marketing graduates will work in service organizations or with service clients.

This course contributes to developing competencies in market analysis, strategic marketing and customer experience management. In practice, this means being able to read a real service company critically — understand how it creates value, identify where quality fails, and recommend concrete improvements.

The course is built around a diagnostic approach: students choose a real company and apply each framework to it throughout the semester.

Les acquis d'apprentissage visés par l'UE

The student will be able to:

Analyse the specific challenges of marketing and managing services, using the key frameworks of the discipline

Evaluate the quality of a real service offer — its processes, positioning, and customer experience — through a structured diagnostic approach

Recommend concrete improvements grounded in current service management thinking

Adopt a customer-oriented mindset as a reflex, not an afterthought

Les méthodes d'enseignement-apprentissage

Each session combines a short theory input with pair and group exercises applied to real companies. Students choose one service company at the start of the semester and analyze it through every framework covered in class — building a complete diagnostic by the end of the course. Active participation is essential.
